FREE Mammograms for Ladies at the 2009 Rally!!

With mobile mammography, screening mammograms will be performed at the W.I.T Virginia State Rally in Powhatan, Virginia on Friday September 18, 2009. The Dogwood Winnies has partnered with UVa Breast Care Center in Charlottesville to show that we not only want you to enjoy your RVing but we want you to be HEALTHY ! The Dogwood Winnies contacted the UVa Breast Care Center to bring their self-contained unit, which provides high-quality, digital mammograms to women at our 2009 W.I.T. Virginia State Rally in Powhatan Virginia. Details to come.

    Ye Olde Virginia Winnie-Tascas will host their annual rally at Cozy Acres Campground, Powhatan , Virginia . As usual at this rally there will be great food, great entertainment, seminars, dealer coaches, etc. The Goody Bags are being filled, Bingo games and the Friendship Walk (cakewalk with more than cakes) are ready, other Games and an Ice Cream Social are planned, and lots of Door Prizes are being collected.

    Your entry fee covers two nights camping, two breakfasts, two dinners, two nights of entertainment and all the fun you can have at the other functions. All this can be yours for only $125 for one coach, two people. Extra persons each $60. One coach, one person only $105. Attendance will be limited. Make checks payable to Virginia State Rally 2009 and send to: registrar: Mary Anne Moyer, 1237 Commins Road , Aylett , VA 23009-3115 . Handicapped parking needs must be requested on registration form. Parking will be assigned by coach size. Vendors intested in attending should contact Mike Schuler rallymaster@virginiawit.org.

    Cancellations prior to May 15, 2009 - full refund, before July 31, 2009 - 50% refund.

    Cozy Acres is a secluded, quiet, well shaded campground located about 30 miles west of Richmond  with three fishing ponds and a playground. It offers 30/50A sites with W&E. Come early or stay late for only $38.00 per night. There are good local restaurants for your dining pleasure and there is an excellent golf course in Powhatan. Located within easy range are the homes of three Presidents - Jefferson's Monticello , Monroe 's Ash Lawn and Madison 's Montpelier .

    Also nearby are the Capital of the Confederacy as well as Hollywood Cemetery, final resting place of Presidents John Tyler and James Monroe, Confederate President Jefferson Davis, Generals George Pickett and J.E.B. Stuart and 23 other Confederate generals, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Ellen Glasgow, and Supreme Court Justice Lewis F. Powell, Jr. along with about 18,000 Confederate soldiers (many from Gettysburg), several poets, ambassadors and congressmen.

    Other nearby attractions are two amusement parks ( Busch Gardens and King's Dominion), the Blue Ridge Parkway , Skyline Drive , Shenandoah Valley,   Williamsburg ,  Appomattox , and several Civil War battlegrounds.

General Notes:

Club 50/50 not allowed in general rally area. Club 50/50 or other fundraisers to be held at each clubs Flea Market Area. Money hat and State 50/50 are allowed anywhere.

All gambling is for fun only, no real money used, only "Cruisin Cash" accepted. Cruisin Cash is to be used to bid on prizes at the Silent Auction.

Please review handout of emergency info, points of contact and restaurant guide in your welcome bag. Remember to pick up goody bags at Dogwoods Flea Market.

Wear your rally pin to all activities and meals

Gate passes for cars are available at the office for a $10 refundable deposit.
