Peninsula Winnies

We gathered at the Thousand Trails Campground in Gloucester VA and started the weekend with dinner @ Ann's Restaurant. Everyone enjoyed a good meal and great company. We then returned and Vito started a campfire (in 90 degree heat) which was enjoyed especially after the sun went down. And we enjoyed visitors (Glenn & Joanne Hailey) at the campfire.  Many comments were made about the beautiful colors in the fire.  

Saturday was provided by Maxine & Mary who made biscuits with sausage gravy, baked apples, scrambled eggs and all the fixings to go with it. This was followed by our club meeting.  The day was filled shopping, visiting and coach repairs.

Our weekend campout had a great turnout with 11 coaches in attendance with our newest members (Fred & Ramona) camping with us for the first time since joining the club.

Saturday lunch was a FREE hot dog and a HUGE (ha ha ha) piece of cake provided, to all the men, by the campground to celebrate Father's Day.  Some of the fathers even shared their cake with their ladies, crumbs and all.  Saturday evening, the ladies and a few brave men brought together a great pot luck dinner.  After dinner we were joined by WIT members Bill & Marie Eisenpeter from Camarillo CA who are now full timing it. We enjoyed the visit and we look forward to seeing then at GNR.  With dinner over and a quick cleanup of the meal was finished just in time to avoid a heavy rain storm.
