General Meeting

September 18, 2011

President Chauncey Ayers called the meeting to order at 8:50am. Members of the following chapters were present: Blue Ridge, Cardinals, Coasters, Dogwoods, Peninsula and Tidewater.

Phil Hannaford led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Butch Moore, WIT Eastern Rep swore in the new slate of state officers. They are Phil Hannaford as President, Ron Colbow as Vice President, Pat Montgomery as Secretary and Ron Doerschug as Treasurer. He also swore in the new chapter officers Marsha Frye and Jim McBride.

President Phil Hannaford opened with thanking all clubs, all past and present state presidents and new members.

Reminding everyone that the November State Meeting will be at Kings Dominion and everyone needed to make their reservations. Phil also reminded all clubs to update their rosters (turn in to Pat) and turn in their annual dues to Ron D. - soonest. Lastly, Phil mentioned that one of his points of emphasis this year will be working on attracting new members.

Phil then turned the floor over to Ron Colbow who is the 2012 Rally Master who announced that the location and theme for the Rally. Rally will be held at Beth Page in Urbanna, VA and the theme of Rally will be Pirates of the Rappannock. A motion was made and seconded to accept the location and theme. The vote of the membership was unanimous.

The floor was turned over to Butch Moore who informed all chapters that a copy of the newsletters needed to be emailed to them. This is a new requirement for the Chapter of Excellence.

At 9:40am a motion was made by Ed Potts to adjourn the meeting and seconded by Mike Montgomery.
