Cardinals received the 2009 Chapter of Excellence award at GNR

The Club name is "CARDINAL WINNIE TASCAS of Northern Virginia". Geographically, our membership comes from the area roughly encompassed by Winchester south to Harrisonburg east to Fredericksburg north to Arlington and back to Winchester (we have had members from Maryland and D.C).

This club is a member of the Virginia Association of WIT Clubs called "Ye Ole Virginia Winnie Tascas" . The State Association has three campout-meetings and a State Rally annually. 50 to 75 RV's attend the state meetings and the State Rally will draw between 100 to 125 RV's and vendors from throughout Virginia and surrounding states.

Our club has a meeting in association with a campout or outing (winter months) each month of the year. Cardinal Club campouts are generally located at a campground within 100 miles from the center of our area. We usually get about 10 to 15 coaches to participate in our club campouts. The Cardinal's traditionally have a Christmas Party at Reines RV Center , Manassas, Virginia (Cardinal's club sponsor) on a Sunday in Mid December. We also support our sponsor with a "Show and Tell" at the Greater Washington RV Show. We have made arrangements for members to purchase embroidered short sleeve shirts, sweat shirts, and polar fleece jackets at actual cost.

To be a member of the Cardinals, you must be a member of the Winnebago Itasca Travelers (WIT) . The Cardinal dues are $15 per year in addition to a $30 initiation fee, which includes your first year's dues. The club is solvent. It receives its funds from dues, donations and moneymaking ventures at campouts/meetings (50/50's,raffles, money making games, etc.) The club expenses are donations to charities of our choosing, postage, reimbursement of Wagon Master Campout expenses, and other miscellaneous expenses approved by the membership.

Upon payment of your membership to WIT and initiation fee to the Cardinals to treasurer, Bill Lord , you will receive a copy of our By-laws, Roster, latest Newsletter and other relevant information from our Secretary, John DeMarse .
